Send animated, speaking email messages with LifeFX Facemail.
This free application uses a proprietary and patented technology to provide
a photo-realistic virtual human face with life-like emotions and employs the
IBM Text-to-Speech technology to read your email messages aloud. It doesn't
support Blind CCs or file attachments but is otherwise well done.
It's very simple to generate animated talking messages: Just as you would
with any other email client, enter the address of the recipient, a subject,
and the message content. Then use your mouse to choose from five virtual
faces. Recipients are given clear instructions for downloading the LifeFX
Facemail player, which is required for message playback. Once they have the
player, your email message is read aloud exactly as written.
The program offers Internet Explorer and Outlook integration and supports a
series of emoticons that generate actual facial expressions in the character
as he/she reads the message. Note that you'll need to register for a free
account at the LifeFX Website.
