Subject: Shortcut hacker attack

Has anyone see a hacker attack or virus that deletes all shortcuts in
Windows (including ones in backup directories)? Thanks for any help!

I may have had a hacker attack over the weekend. I lost all my shortcuts
from my desktop and menus. The directories are all dated as updated
5/5/01 around 6:30am. There is also a SQL server event in the Windows NT
event log running the sp xp_cmdshell at that time, so perhaps that is
how they got in. (I had a personal SQL Server service running on my NT
Workstation.

I also got new directories \china,\hacker and \godwill on my C drive.

I have done a full virus scan and turned up the zonealarm level on
internet access. I stopped SQL Server running.
