yes that is a good book. it was the one in the series *right* before the
best-selling "Dinowitz for Mere Mortals". unfortunately, this insightful
book was soon duplicated in the likes of "Dinowitz for Dummies", "Teach
Yourself Dinowitz", and my personal favorite "Hands On Dinowitz".

A book that I learned more about designing a db is Database Design for Mere
Mortals. I followed that up with SQL Queries for Mere Mortals. Both are
excellent and presume no previous experience with db's - but! they don't
'talk down' to the reader either. :o)
