I agree, most US beers are like drinking carbonated water. Some of the
microbrews are pretty good, though. We have a Texas beer, Shiner Boch,
that's pretty good too. It's a good substitute when imports aren't
available.

I found that my taste runs to the English/Irish brews when I started going
to Rennaisance (sp?) Faires several years ago. They offered quite a nice
selection at the faires (any Ren Faire fans here?).

I mentioned Guinness before. While I lived in the middle east, our club
offered Guinness Bitter. I liked it a lot but I can't find it in the stores.
Heck, I can't even find it mentioned on the Guinness site. Anyone know if
they still make it?
