Now  there's a combination!
Stouts are much like coffee to me also, but as a coffee lover I think that's
a good thing.

There's even a brew which did combine them.  Redhook Brewery (of Washington
state) produces the Double Black with stout and Starbucks coffee!  (Redhook
was founded by the same person behind Starbucks).

I find guiness and most stouts to taste too much like coffee. Since I don't
like coffee...... IPA are probably my favorite, except on really hot days
when light beer is so refreshing.
