Kola,

I had it installed, and never had the time to fully understand and evaluate
it.

It's hyped as a Java technology-based Web application server. It manages and
integrates enterprise-wide applications while leveraging open technologies
and APIs. You can use it for developing, testing, and deploying e-business
applications.

This page has a lot of info on particular technologies and programming you
can use to deliver e-business solutions utilizing WebSphere:
http://www7b.boulder.ibm.com/wsdd/

It even has a Studio.

This is my favorite quote from them: "Everything works, everything connects,
everything scales."

Woohoo!!!

Best wishes, and let us know if you do anything with it. I do plan to fully
investigate and run it on one of my development servers...but not in the
next month. <grin> gotta go take my CF Exam!

Hi All

Has anyone on this list heard of IBM websphere? If so what does it do and
can it be used with coldfusion?

Thanks in advance
