Black Ice is apparently problematic, with failures on a umber of different
fronts. Check Steve Gibson's doco at http://grc.com/lt/leaktest.htm and
particularly the Firewall Scoreboard at http://grc.com/lt/scoreboard.htm
where Black Ice comes off pretty badly.
I'd advise EVERYBODY on a full-time internet connection to test their
systems with both Shields-Up and LeakTest to see how insecure they are and
then grab the firewall of their choice (with a personal recommendation from
me for ZoneAlarm - I have nothing to do with them financially, BTW), install
it, and get secure.
