**Falun Gong Shot Put**
Beijing was awarded the 2008 Olympics, winning the games for the world's
most populous country for the first time despite criticism of China's human
rights record, and setting off wild celebrations in the streets and causing
the guards at the prison labor camps to pause in their lethal beatings of
Falun Gong members in order to toast a glass of state-approved champagne.
"The 1,800 executions we've carried out this year alone are proof positive
that we are serious about cleaning up our image for the world!" said a
Chinese official, reading from a prepared script lest the electrodes
implanted in his skull by the government jolt him into submission. "New
Olympic event just announced! Long-Range Dissident Firing Squad! Please
bring the children! No photos please or else!"
