I saw the thread on cf-talk. I'll start out by saying that I like both of
them quite a bit. You don't know me from the next monkey, but trust me when
I say that I don't complement logos lightly. I've done corporate identity
work and I know a little something about what goes into it.

People on cf-talk did point out some similar logos to "b", but from what I
understand of trademark law by my esimation you weren't infringing on any of
them. Of course, not infringing doesn't mean that there isn't a chance of
confusion and any confusion with a mark can be just as bad.

Does your art director want any creative feedback? (It's okay if s/he
doesn't.)
