day and now gmail does not recognize me as an account, and when I go through the
sent password reset procedure, nothing happens. So at this point is in useless
to me, unless someone sends me another invitation, as I set up a new account
from it.

I've got 2 still "pending", but once was from Friday and one from Saturday
Considering that I've had about 20 accepts, I doubt they'd cut you off
for that...
