Since there has been at least two seperate threads about ppl either
buildling/re-building their workstations I was hoping that someone out
there might be in the now.
I left my computer on during the day while I went to work. I forgot to
leave the windows open and it can get pretty hot in there. I came back
from work to a hot room and my computer with a blank black screen. I don't
know what is wrong with my computer but it is barely operational. It takes
over 10 minutes for my computer too boot. The first stall point is right
after the memory check. The second long stall is when I enter my login to
WinXP Pro.
I don't know what is wrong for sure but the huge wait times has me
wondering if somehow damaged the L2 cache.
MY box is a dual AMD 1900 on a Tyan MB.
Any advice?
