I grew up In Northern Ireland where it rains 24x7, moved to London where it
is slightly drier. Don't want to go somewhere were it is really hot all the
time, would be to much of a shock to the system.

I've only been to San Fran once (in mid-summer) and it was misty and windy,
I don't think it's known for cracking the stones with heat?
