evils. I was sailing with a good friend of mine, fellow staunch republican.
Our consensus was that Bush was the Devil we know versus Kerry, who has been
entirely undistinguished in Congress. We have both been disappointed in
Bush's excessive spending and the way he threw in the kitchen sink while
justifying invading Iraq. However, given Kerry's record, we didn't believe
that he could become a leader even if he believed what he said since he has
shown no history of leadership in government. The greatest nation on earth
and 0 in the leadership category.
He made an interesting comment, that I wouldn't have expected from him. We
need a third party to add balance. The far right and far left have taken
ownership of each party and the soft-spoken middle is left without a voice.
Thoughts?

maybe people are listening. Got into a political discussion with an
elderly Hispanic couple in the line at the bank, and they were gotting
for Kerry based on the deficit. They weren't really sure that Kerry
was any better but were going with the evil they did not know.
