So... if you're not homophobic, why do you care?
Is it like going to Disney (where 70% or more of the employees are
gay), do they just annoy you en-masse? I know that personally I find a
lot of stereotypical effeminite gay people really annoying -- I say
this as an admittedly bisexual man, so it has nothing to do with their
being gay, it's the "lifestyle obsession" that annoys me. The
gratuitous infatuation with Marylin Monroe, Betty Davis, Disney and
the Wizard of Oz. The fact that fashion sense is to many of them the
worlds most pressing moral imperative. Their absolute need for
everything in their life to be 100% homosexual (nope, sorry, can't use
that laundromat, the owner isn't gay - they're often amazingly
heterophobic).
In retrospect, there's my answer. :) It's like going camping -- there
are bears in the woods, but you know, they're usually just as scared
of you as you are of them. :)
