Unfortunately 90%+ of the world uses IE, so if you use Firefox as your primary browser, and do all of your development using it, then you'll have to re-check your code to make sure it works in the one that the rest of the World uses </quote>
Interestingly, I don't see this on the stats of our site. Netscape is kicking butt! Admittedly this is a small site with only a few thousand visits a month and we have only been tracking stats for a couple of months. Also, I have no idea how these stats are compiled or how the browser version is determined, we just use the software provided by our hosting service.
Keeping all this in mind, for the last eight weeks or so since July 20th that we have been tracking stats, Netscape browsers are reported at nearly a 2:1 ratio over MSIE browsers.
Of course I am not advocating NOT checking all work in IE; one just HAS to do this of course. I'm just intrigued by the apparently slipping numbers of IE.
