A colleague who's site I maintain just sent me the IBM ADesigner tool
that simulates visual disabilities. It can "show" the page as read by
a text reader, but that's easy. What's really neat is that it also
shows how the page looks with various levels of color blindness,
eyesight focus, and age (crystalline lens transparency).

It then generates a report of trouble areas and a A through F style
grading. (Their site got an A/A++ rating. Yay!) Interestingly, and
appropriately, the grading varies depending on the visual disability.
