It is a war, Michael. As far as the Palestinian people are concerned they are at war with an occupying force.
Don't you see it is a never ending spiral? Palestinian gunman attacks...Israel counter attacks right after with military force. Palestinian suicide bomber attacks in revenge.. Israel attacks with military force.. ad infinitum. The world through the UN, described Israel as an occupying force.That wasn't the US...it wasn't the US Media putting a spin on something. That was what was said by the UN. Even the mention of a Palestinian state is enough to get Sharon livid, yet this is supposed to be the eventual goal. That Jews have their state of Israel, and there is also lands dedicated to Palestine..yet the mention of this draws vehemence. If it wasn't for the world community I think Israel would have leveled Palestinian areas and slowly push all the people in those lands out. There will never be peace between Israel and palestine.
