I keep beating this drum, but that's because Mr. Bush is an "on faith" decision maker. He decides, by faith, that a certain course of action is right and then pursues it to the willfull exclusion of facts. + He's done this with domestic economic policy and it caused his fallout with Secretary O'Neil on taxes. Mr. Bush believes that lowering taxes on the wealthy will create an economic boom and he continues to pursue it even though every time he says, "we're turning the corner", we don't. + He's done this with his science policy and it caused a fallout with over 100 top scientists including some Nobel laureates who wrote an open letter against his policy. + He's done this with his foreign policy and it cause a fallout with some of the nation's top foreign policy experts who all signed an open letter against his policy. + Most importantly, he's done this with Iraq where the majority of Americans now realize that it was probably a mistake, yet the President refuses to admit it. Mr. Bush bankrupted 4 companies and, from what I've read, it was because each time he just believed that they would be successful despite what business advisors told him. Now he's pursuing the same path with America's finances - we borrow $2 billion/day just to operate and Mr. Bush would like to borrow more. This is why he can claim that he "doesn't waver."
