Actually, the real reason MM didn't want anything to do with us had to do
with a technique I picked up during the good old days or dot com. When
writing apps we sometimes got into a problem or a piece of code that we
just couldn't think about for some reason. The solution was usually to just
walk away from it and come back later with a clear mind. Lunch, reading,
walks were all good but one of the best things we had was to go and play a
'fighting game' against another programmer. After a round or two we went
back to the code and fixed it in seconds.
I liked the concept so much I made sure we rented a projector and someone
donated a playstation and some games. Problem is, one of the fighting games
had an option for "bouncy breasts" as on or off (default as on). Watching
this game was a laugh and a half for everyone there. And we had such a
weird syncronicity going on that every time we started up the game, a woman
walked in (every single time). It was great and spawned its own legend.
I can understand MM not wanting to be a part of anything that had fighting
games with options like that. :)
