This might sound crazy, but the traffic moves at least... And the further west you get while being more north than south, the better flow of traffic... Drop down to 66 when you get closer..
695 ---> 70 West ---> 29 South Here you have a couple options: 1.) Get on the beltway, and sit in a parking lot all the way to Fairfax. 2.) Hang a right onto Randolph Road going west until you get to 270 South. Get on the beltway and bypass most of the parking lot. Get to 66 then to Fairfax. I prefer to be moving and keep from the city, so If I were you I'd give this a try.. It might tack on some extra miles, but you will at least be moving at a good clip: 695 ---> 70 West ---> 15 South ---> 7100 (Fairfax county parkway) You are traveling a long way... There are not too many ways to get around the city.
