We stayed in Shinjuku, but got around to Asakusa, Ginza, and some other tourists places. In the end I really like the Shinjuku area, but Tokyo is HUGE! I don't know how you could see it all.
It was funny because we didn't know Japanese so we ended up eating more French than Japanese because we had no idea where the restraurants were. And I was surprised at the amount of French stuff there ... Anyway, it's a fantastic city and people were super friendly. We were trying to buy a multi-ride subway pass but couldn't read the Kangi (sp?). This business man stopped, helped us, and then gave us his business card and told us to call him if we needed anything else! we also ate at the place called Maisen which had deep fried crispy everything but specialized in pork loin. that was good. great place - it's like Las Vegas on steroids.
