I'm a little ashamed that I get to participate in this thread. But when building a deck this summer I found out that our subaru wagon that could do everything couldn't pull a trailer. And the wagon is turning to swiss cheese the rust is so bad, and a cv is making a strange thunking sound when turning corners, and...
But she didn't want to sell the wagon yet. So I sold my Mazda and got a Hyundai Santa Fe. It was one of the smaller SUVs I could find that wasn't the Subaru Forrester. It gets about 20mpg which isn't horrible, but isn't as good as the 30 I'm used to. I've pretty much got her convinced that we should get a Mazda 3. The deck turned out great though.
