I've yet to read the books, but the movie actually looks really good.

I do so appreciate a "children's" film that doesn't treat them like idiots
(anybody else have to sit the complete travesty's that were "The Cat in the
Hat" and "The Grinch")?

I didn't read any "Harry Potter" until the fourth book had come out - then I
read them all voraciously.

Funny thing tho' - aside from the REALLY big events I really couldn't tell
you what happened in them.  Usually I'm pretty good at retaining things, but
honestly when we saw the last movie the fact that Lupin was a werewolf came
as a complete surprise.

I think I'm getting old.
