I have been blessed with a small perl Project, and since my completion
of various trainings, I am sure I will be bless with many more, yippie
for me <feel the sarcasm>. Does anyone have any suggestions for an
IDE? I would particularly be interested in Eclipse plugin suggestions.
I Did a google search; found more than one. Aside from me just
downloading and playing around with them I figured I would go to the
esteemed panel of ColdFusion developers for advice on a PERL IDE.

was released and under heavy use the laser has never failed. What is
that... at least four years and counting? ;^)

Well, it's official -- I'm an idiot. As it turns out, the second account
I was using had the email address in question configured as the
Reply-To:. That would pretty much account for what I was seeing. Also, I
suppose I didn't expect to see the original Reply-To: added to the
Reply-To: generated when reply_to_list was set. I see why this is done
(and that this behavior can be changed via first_strip_reply).

Nevermind... and thanx for the help. I'm sure I'll have another stupid
question soon.

Cheers -- m

Here is an untested patch.
I hope Mark can test it (on managed and unmanaged mounts,
including basenames consisting entirely of dots and spaces)
and possibly make adjustments, without having to file the
paperwork.

Pierre

        * path.cc (path_conv::check): Do not strip trailing dots and spaces.
        * fhandler.cc (fhandler_base::open): Strip trailing dots and spaces.

Hi !

I've got a problem with SQLObject in WW4Py (webkit 0.8.1).
I' a simple script working with SQLObject as a standalone.
As soon as I try to plug it into webware I raise an import Error in SQLObject

Here it is :
...
  File "c:\www\site\context\Dossier.py", line 1, in ?
    from sqlobject import *
  File "c:\python23\lib\ihooks.py", line 398, in import_module
    q, tail = self.find_head_package(parent, str(name))
  File "c:\python23\lib\ihooks.py", line 439, in find_head_package
    q = self.import_it(head, qname, parent)
  File "c:\python23\lib\ihooks.py", line 489, in import_it
    m = self.loader.load_module(fqname, stuff)
  File "WebKit\ImportSpy.py", line 30, in load_module
  File "c:\python23\lib\ihooks.py", line 274, in load_module
    m = self.hooks.load_package(name, filename, file)
  File "c:\python23\lib\ihooks.py", line 174, in load_package
    return imp.load_module(name, file, filename, ("", "", PKG_DIRECTORY))
  File "C:\Python23\lib\site-packages\sqlobject\__init__.py", line 7, in ?
    from dbconnection import ConnectionURIOpener
ImportError: cannot import name ConnectionURIOpener

/ / I can make it work with version 0.5.2 of SQLObject (with a few changes in
the code), but i'd like to use version 0.6.x
I don't understand the problem. I've tried with the svn version and with the
downloadable one at SF.net

I use Python2.3.3 , apache2.xx, WW4PY last non cvs version (0.8.1 I think) on
Widows2000

Thanx in advance for help

Phil

I don't know if this will solve all your problems, but here is a quick
explanation on how to install the missing bitstream fonts:

1. apt-get install ttf-bitstream-vera x-ttcidfont-conf
2. Add the following line to the "Files" section of your
/etc/X11/XF86Config-4:
FontPath "/var/lib/defoma/x-ttcidfont-conf.d/dirs/TrueType"
(If you use xfs, you can also configure xfs accordingly)
3. (optional) dpkg-reconfigure fontconfig
If asked for the bitmap fonts, choose "No". This will make fontconfig
select the bitstream fonts as default for serif, sans-serif and
monospace aliases.

You should also be able to tell gimp to use another font, probably by
changing your ~/.gtkrc-2.0 or ~/.gtkrc-2.0.mine, either manually or by
running "switch2" from the gtk-theme-switch package.

best regards

Hi Christian,

The BioJava sequence model was written with the possibility of dropping
in new implementations in mind, and it certainly ought to be possible
to do this -- whatever approach you choose to take -- without having to
rewrite things like parsing code. A good place to start looking is the
SequenceBuilder interface, which receives events from the parsing
framework and constructs Sequence objects. By developing a new
implementation of this, you'll be able to use any of the BioJava
parsers. Depending on the exact details of your new Sequence
implementation, you'll quite possibly be able to get away with a very
small subclass of SequenceBuilderBase.

          Thomas.

atzerapen apur batekin erantzuten...

Ipurua sendabelarraren ezaugarriak aipatzen ziren Zakilixuten tiran...

Ipurua, gaztelaniaz 'enebro', edari bat sortzeko erabiltzen da gainera:
Ginebra gaztelaniaz, Gin ingelesez.

Alde batean Ipurua, bestean Kalamua, Eibar aldean 'drogia' beti.

 New Comment:

ah.. - just saw you had the same problem with 4.3.6 - the easiest (well
not that easy) way to isolate the problem is to find the last working
version, go through the major changes. - unless someone pop's up with a
answer sooner..

can you try the changes recommended on this

[2004-12-16 13:16:57] shoorik at ilyichevsk dot net

Prefork mpm works nice, but I must solve few issues with CGI zombies
using threads that way. Thats why I tried to use worker mpm. Anyway -
there is few sites which still work on threaded php - I got this crash
only with phpMyAdmin (still trying to find out WHERE?).

So I must not use thread features anyway... Sadly... Will PHP team fix
this is fuftre anyway? Perl story reproduces?

------------------------------------------------------------------------

[2004-12-16 13:04:03] [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Does it crash if you compile Apache with prefork mpm ?? ie. don't even
try to use threading with php, it doesn't work.

Description:
------------
Apache httpd-2.0.52 config:
configure --prefix=/usr/local/apache --enable-suexec
--enable-ext-filter --enable-rewrite --enable-ssl --with-mpm=worker
--enable-threads

NOTE: apache built with worker MPM!

PHP config:
configure --with-mysql=/usr/local/mysql
--with-apxs2=/usr/local/apache/bin/apxs --with-gd=/usr/local
--with-jpeg-dir=/usr/local --with-png-dir=/usr/local --with-zlib=/usr
--with-iconv=/usr/local --with-freetype=/usr/local
--with-curl=/usr/local --enable-threads --enable-roxen-zts

Bug reproducible on phpMyAdmin-2.6.0-pl3. Requests to phpMyAdmin using
web causes apache chield to die with signal 11.

....
[Thu Dec 16 10:51:52 2004] [notice] child pid 69976 exit signal Illegal
instruction (4)
....

Crash also could be reproduced in cmd line using "php -a index.php"
command. But in non-interactive mode (without -a option) it works.

Backtrace see below

This crash also reproducible with PHP-4.3.6 using same configureaion.
4.3.6 crashes with the same backtrace.

Try this: go to the saloon, go to the one arm bandit, (slot machine) and
play a few rounds. Then go to the shooting range, it should work. I found
this to be the case on my machine just using an sb_live value edition.

Optional, advisable : try with the latest stable release.

OK, but if the ISP parent is the only one
with Internet access , and your local squid hasn't; then you need
=20
   never_direct allow all

in squid.conf.

It should be needed, if you can't figure it out further.
Otherwise it's a black hole, in the possible information
elements which may help you solve this issue.

The access.log entries from the application would be sufficient.
Check the acces status for each object accessed through squid.
Look for status-es indication failures , if any.

Joe,

I am including a list of things from the top of my
head that I like about Cocoon sitemaps, and how it
translates into struts-chain. I would like to say
that maybe this is a great area for cross-pollination.
Why reinvent the wheel? Perhaps a commons package
shared by the Cocoon developers and Struts developers
for these webapp request processor configurations. On
the other hand maybe it is too late for this type of
activity? Anyway, here it goes:

1) The ability to declare variables that can be used
throughout all chains (e.g. a variable defining a root
jndi context name). The variable could be used in the
chain to affect very basic flow. The variable also
could be passed into the Command objects.

2) A reload attribute on the entire chain config or
may be individual chains. This would enable faster
development...if the config is changed, it is visible
without a servlet container restart.

3) Chain definitions bound to a variable name (I
believe Craig proposed this). This would be similar
to Cocoon's cocoon.xconf's input/output modules in the
WEB-INF dir:
<component-instance
class="org.apache.cocoon.components.modules.input.RequestParameterModule"
logger="core.modules.input" name="request-param"/>
This particular snippet binds the string
"request-param" to an object that allows one to access
the request object of the servlet container...e.g.
request-param:userID

4) URI protocol handling for initializing, pulling
sources from, or redirecting to other chains. Similar
to Cocoon's "cocoon:/" and "cocoon://" protocols.
>From Cocoon's site:
context:// - get a resource using the servlet
context
cocoon:/ - get a pipeline from the current sitemap
cocoon:// - get a pipeline using the root sitemap
resource:// - get a resource from the context
classloader

Well I think it is clear by now that I really like
some of the Cocoon architecture ;). Anyway, I think
the Cocoon sitemap paradigm is a developer's dream and
nightmare at once. The dream is the URI handling with
regex matching, sub-sitemaps, and the array of
generators, transformers, and serializers. However,
the nightmare is the learning curve and the bloat. I
hope that by writing this email...this newbie can
translate some Cocoon experience into something
valuable for all.

regards,
Julian
