Ah! So you don't want it to look clickable, got it. I'd definitely
stay away from the bevel you have in 4 then. Perhaps you can go with a
unbuttonlike shape such as you have with the "built with Plum" doodad.
I personally still like the gradient though.

I also like Deanna's suggestion about superimposing the beginning of
the text on the plum slightly and making it a hair bigger.
