The whole Hudson Valley area has a very strong, tight-knit gay and lesbian
community. My mother-in-law is a lesbian so (when we were there) we got
invited to all the best events. ;^)

About 10 years ago we video-taped a traditional Jewish wedding (lead by a
traditional Jewish Rabbi) of two lesbian friends of my mother-in-laws. I'm not
sure of the legality of it at the time, but religiously it seemed sound enough.
