Ok, I'll buy that. He isn't an idiot. He believes his own BS. Actually, I find it hard to decide whether he is very stupid or very smart. Either way he is a huge danger to the US and to the American people, though -- I firmly believe that he fails to see possible consequences to his actions that are outside of his ideological frame of reference.
