Growth Seen in Native American Incomes January 31, 2005 · Native Americans are still much more likely to be poor than other Americans, but their incomes have been growing significantly. From 1990 to 2000, average incomes for Indians living on reservations increased at three times the rate of the overall U.S. population. And a new Harvard study says the gains are not all due to casino gambling.
