I think it's up to the officer, really. They definitely log all stops and in most areas cameras, at least, will record your license plate. I believe it's also standard to run the plates of any car stopped against theft records.
But as far as the warning goes I don't believe it goes on your record. I've a few friends that used to work at the MA DMV and this came up before. I had serious problems getting my license transferred from NY to MA because there's a felon in PA with the same name and birthday. However this event is not marked in my record: there's no "field" for it. So when my license expires next year I have to go through all that hell again.
