There really are no more disadvantages. Advantages? Well, you won't use up valuable Ips for no reason. :)
Because the world is running out of IP addresses ... MANY hosts no longer hand them out willy nilly. You need to have a valid reason ie. SSL or no domain name and the latter is a piss poor excuse considering how cheap they are these days. Search engines no longer penalize because of so many sites being hosted on single Ips. So that's my opinion, from reading, researching AND personal experience.
