yeah we made the mistake of using the search on our county's website. it charged us 6 dollars for each search we made, whether we found something or not, and we didnt find anything.

I worked for a title search application about a year and a half ago and our subject matter expert stepped me through land title searches. Often you can do these searches online. However some counties (rather most) will charge for the on line searches. If you do the search in person at the county courthouse, its ususally free.
