It's common knowledge in the dog community that free roaming cats spread
their foul influence far and wide, when they could be easily contained in
graves, or in small cages in cosmetics or university labs.

Wait a minute, now.
My parents' cats like to roam around.  They live in a neighborhood in a
small town, and the cats like to go off into surrounding pastures,
woods, etc.  All the cats have been degenderized, so they're not making
more little cats.  They have all their shots.  They spend most nights at
home.  They're not feral, but (one in particular) could take care of
herself if she did become homeless.

What's wrong with that?
