I second this - the Shuttles are the balls (even if I can't get my sons to
connect to the wireless lan).

They're much larger than the Mac Mini - but they use all off-the-shelf
components, are home-upgradable, feature excellent thermal properties and
have no performance trade offs.

You can even get a DUAL AMD SFF box from them if you want to have a
workstation-in-a-shoebox.  ;^)

You can easily throw a Dual Monitor card into a Shuttle box.  My only real
problem is that I'd love room for two Hard Drives so that I could do a RAID
mirror (I won't work on a non-mirrored disk anymore if I can at all help
it).

But still - shuttle is the way to go if you want small and powerful.
