Good point. I was actually looking at it from the other point of view. By calling them that (loudly in my head), I am using probably the worst insult they could think of to call them.
Is it fair that radical Islamists (and radical religious folk of many stripes) think that label is about the worst there is. Nope. If calling them left-handed, or "sandal-face" would make them angry, I would switch my mental name calling in a second. Just as a note, I don't use the "faggot" word often.
