No, we don't agree :)

My enthusiastic enjoyment of professional sports at a professional stadium
is a huge ROI as far as i'm concerned. Is it different than building a
convention center or public park?

I think our public education right now stinks....but yes, there is a vested
interest in quality schools.

What are you passionate about? Have you tried explaining your passions to
someone who doesn't share them? It's damn near impossible. Same is true
here.

I love playing sports, and I love watching those sports played at an
extremely high level. I could try to explain the reasons......but in the
end, I just love what I love, ya know?

It's an exhibition. ALL of the great forms of entertainment are exhibitions.
You can reduce all of them to the absurd if you want....but what's the
point? You are entertained by exhibitions, and you can't always explain why.

I mean...why do some people watch reality TV shows or go to country music
concerts???

It's equivalent to all forms of entertainment. You watch, marvel, get a
thrill, move on.
