Good article, there are so many differences in the laws of Canada and firearms that it is difficult to compare, but I do get the point.
>In Canada, hunting is the main reason for owning a firearm; self-protection >is very rarely cited as the main reason. I can't say the same for the states...but I would think a combination of this and the "Right to Bare Arms" in the states is a good reason for why there are so many weapons in the US. Obviously, I'm against weapon bans, but I try to take everything with an open mind and listen to other people's point of view, besides Jeff's racist rant. Stats can easily be skewed to reflect a desired result, so I could be totally wrong. I would think some NRA folks might be able to help out better than I about the US. http://www.nraila.org/Issues/FactSheets/Read.aspx?ID=18 Matt ----- Original Message ----- From: "Larry C.
