I'd go with Erika on this one if the "kid" wasn't 21. It kinda touches me
personally cos i was kinda "slow" for my age (ex. i've just recently got
over my teenage years (i'm turning 24 man!) ;) I grow up relative to my
youger sisters, the oldest now just about to turn 18, so if she's an adult i
can't be the teenager anymore).

I dunno whats up with the kid. maybe he's cocky, maybe he's trying to
impress you, maybe he thinks that's how fast the more seasoned techies learn
their stuff and he's trying his best not to look like a newbie.

It's easy to vent off at that person, especially when you are justified to
do so (and, you are justified :) he's a grown man!) I hope you have the
patience/time/money to guide him, he might turn out to be a really nice kid
and you'll make a friend (unless he's an asshat!) !
