Around here, the problem is people who are afraid of falling snow, but 
don't drive any differently when there's ice on the ground.  Seriously 
-- falling non-sticking snow will slow down SUVs, big trucks, etc.  3/4" 
of unplowed slush on the roads and they zip around like they're never 
gonna slide.  I have no explanation for this.

As far as the debate over handling, I think my dad said it best when he 
said, "My 2WD may not accelerate as well, but I've got 4-wheel brakes 
just like you do."  :-)
