Howie,

This is the sort of things that happen our roads on a daily basis, people
don't seem to be aware of what is around them anymore.

What I really love is these people who speed down the road to try to get
their destination quicker, just to have you pull up to them 2 miles down the
road, do these people think at all?

Subject: Holiday drivers suck

Yesterday I had to make a quick stop at a small shopping center. I stop at
a stop sign and continue on via one of the main roads in the shopping center
that separates parking areas. I notice that on my right is a car leaving
the parking area at a stop sign. Just as I'm passing this car I see the
headlights lurch forward in my peripheral vision. Well, this woman T-boned
the side of my car. Most of the damage was to the front pasenger door with
a lot of additional damage to the rear door and slight damage to small parts
of the front and rear quarter panels.

We get out of our cars and she says something like "oh, I didn't see you."
Well, I'm not sure how that could even be since my car was, at that point,
directly in front of hers. Thankfully nobody was hurt and I didn't have any
passengers in my car (It may have been bad if someone was sitting on that
side of the car). To me, she was in so much of a damned rush to get to the
next store or whatever. She must have really stomped on the gas to 1) even
hit my car (the side of my car had to be a good 6+ feet away from hers when
I was passing initially) and 2) to cause so much damage.

When the police officer arrived the driver gave her some bs story about how
she was in the process of turning when our cars collided. The officer said
that that was highly unlikely since the damage was to the side of my car and
all of the damage on her car was to the front bumper.

God, like I need this. I wish people would at least watch the damned road
when driving. She could easily have hurt or killed someone and, for what?

Bah, humbug...
