Because after the pack of lies told to justify the Iraq invasion,
nobody believes anything that Bush/Blair says anymore.

It doesn't matter that there may be a serious issue that needs to be
dealt with, they cried wolf once too often - if Blair stood up in the
uk parliment and said he wanted to go to war on Iran he would be
facing a vote of no confidence in hours.

That is one of the great tragedies of the Iraq war, it used to be when
the President or Prime Minister said there was a problem and war was
needed to deal with it the opposition parties and public would believe
them. Now they can produce all the "facts" and intelligence they can
get and people will think it's all just been made up again.
