Well, if I remember my PoliSci, there is no spectrum; it's a circle. 
That means that communism ("far left") and fascism ("far right") are,
in fact, very close together at the top of the circle while the whole
of the US is at the bottom.  That is, in the center.

Even though we talk about "left" and "right" we're all really
centrists.  Libertarianism isn't "far right" (near the top of the
circle) it's just farther right than center.

Neo-Cons, I would argue, are actually liberal - at least by action. 
Fiscally Mr. Bush is farther left than President Johnson, and socially
he's *definitely* left.  That is, he believes that government should
enforce morality.  (Big gov't!)

So,T-Bone my man, you and me is "on the right" or right of center
while the Neo-Con are over in that big government ball park.  Which
your 53% of taxes paid for.  Correction.  Which your children's taxes
WILL pay for.
