apparently not. I just checked and you are right about the dates --
the stuff with the Bastille and the Declaration of the Rights of Man
was in 1789. Apparently I confused the revolution itself with the
underlying writings, which were a couple of decades earlier. Turgot
and Rousseau and Montesquieu, etc.
