Well, maybe, but then the next question comes in. Take two programmers, one that knows CF but not .NET, and one that knows ..NET but not CF.
I like CF, it is great for a lot of things. There are a lot of things it isn't great for. But what hurts the pro CF side by saying that .NET doesn't have this, or Java doesn't have this isn't going to win any arguments. They all have the same stuff. You know more about using CF, so you can do it faster in CF. Somebody else knows more about Java, so they will do it faster in Java. I've seen many people stick to one language, and work themselves right out of a job. ColdFusion people, VB people, and just about every other programmer that has clutched to one language. Have you ever written code in C#? > -----Original Message----- > From: Andrew Scott [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Sent: Tuesday, January 24, 2006 10:22 PM > To: CF-Community > Subject: RE: Why is coldfusion better. > > Yes but by the time you investigate the best option for you, time wasted > and > then waste time trying to intergrate it into your application to find out > it > doesn't do what your looking for time wasted, then you have to write > facades > or code API to talk to these 3rd party tools, time wasted and I bet my > bottom dollar that the time researching the gateway option would have paid > for coldfusion! > > > Regards > Andrew Scott > Analyst Programmer > > CMS Transport Systems > Level 2/33 Bank Street > South Melbourne, Victoria, 3205 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:194197 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.5 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
