It's relevant, easy and to be honest easier to maintain as now there is really only some javascript and a query, and not a full on action page with a confirmation page, just hi the script, and pop an alert letting them know it worked, then push them off to another page. Really basic stuff.

Possibly a bad decision in the long run if it makes the app less maintainable. > I don't see a problem with it, because I usually do stuff like this on > my own time, but I can see how an employer might. I think your employer should expect you to continually learn new things, on the clock or not. You can't just stop learning new things when at work, just like you can't stop from thinking about solutions to work problems while away from work. There are plenty of examples where I've thought of a solution to a work problem while in the shower or driving home from work. I don't bill for that time. On the flipside, I might spend time learning at work and might bill for it. As long as it's relevant, balanced, and you are getting the job done it all evens out in the end. -Cameron -- Cameron Childress Sumo Consulting Inc http://www.sumoc.com --- cell: 678.637.5072 aim: cameroncf email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:198708 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.5 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
