It's too late now but I tell you - next time rent a jack-hammer.

I did building maintenance for a while and we had to dig electrical conduit
trenches through warehouse floors - we did one in a week with sledge hammers
and pick axes and one, twice as long, in a day with two 90Lb Jacks.

The Jacks only cost about $100 to rent for the day (of course we had the
compressor - if you needed that as well then it probably would cost more).

There's no pain quite like that you get the day after using jack-hammer but
it's nothing compared to the pain after a day of using a pick axe!
