I think they are, and I think they would love to make it an RFID card with
your criminal and medical history on it. 

BTW I have several federally issued IDs that aren't a passport.  Of course I
volunteered to do the things for which they are issued.

Wasn't being an ass, just making a point.  The Indiana law is requiring
presentation of a Picture ID (state or federally issued). 
The only federal ID issued with a picture is a passport.

Unless you actually think that the Beltway Bozos are going to try and push
through a National ID card... on that point you and I are in complete
agreement.
