One wonders what effect such a seizure would have on Venezuela's standing in the international community? Is Venezuela part of the WTO? Do WTO rules prohibit arbitrary behavior like this? Will Chavez pull Venezuela out of the WTO in order to have his way? One can only imagine such a course of action having dire consequences for the people of Venezuela.
