Power comes in when you have to pass the big truck on an incline. I need a
car that's responsive to feel safe driving it. The Yaris is woefully
underpowered.

Good to know.  The Fit kind of sucked engine-wise, but it seems 
practical, and I'm not much of a power person when it comes to engines. 
  However, for *me* to notice that it's got a weak engine is saying 
something bad :-)
