Well, I've got a Canon S50 and I like it ok except for taking night shots which you absolutely need a tripod for. That's annoying. Anyway, I want a point and shoot because I want pictures but don't want to carry around some big bulky thing. For example, I'm going on vacation in a few weeks and I don't want to have to take 5 minutes to set up a nice dinner shot or something. It's an ease of use thing.
