Two basic types of feeds are available to provide the nutrient requirements of the horse. These are:
* roughages—feeds that have bulk but the percentages of digestible nutrients are low, for example hays, crops and pastures; * concentrates—less bulky feeds with higher percentages of protein or energy or both, for example grains, grain by-products and protein meal. There's a table attached giving more information on the specific types of feeds, but I'm assuming your not interested :) On 5/23/06, Dana Tierney <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > anyone have a link to a good primer on this? > > thanks > > ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:207385 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=11502.10531.5 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
